The people you are looking for will almost certainly have some kind of identifying information located somewhere on the internet....It may be a telephone number in the white or yellow pages, an email id or it might be part of a High School alumni list.

Before the internet came on the scene, we would have to hire a private investigator and this was often a costly exercise to get the information we wanted. If you have a old phone number or an address where they used to stay, you could try a reverse look up directory. These directories are continually updated from various sources on the internet. There are both free and paid services on the internet. Usually the free services provide very limited results and are not updates as often as the paid services, so using them you may not find what you are looking for.
